  8. DESIGN Design is the most essential element of any project. Besides making references to Building Code or City-by-laws, design captures all the most important elements of any project that aligns to customer specifications. While no two projects are similar in every way, design considers various aspects such as cost, buildability, maintenance, aesthetics, quality, operating cost, ergonomics and comfort. It encompasses everything that meets the needs of the end customers’ specifications and regulatory requirements. In summary, the more thorough the design, the less time is spent on construction variations and mistakes.
