  2. LOCATION LAG is situated in the south-east Poland. From the south it neighbours with Kielce, a two-hundred-thousand city Kielce is situated by the main road connecting Warsaw (160 km) and Cracow (100 km).

  4. area of LAG - 479,94 km­2 population - 56, 582 Density - 117,9 persons per km2

  5. All communes of LAG are situated in the west part of Swietokrzyskie Mountains (the oldest moutains in Europe)

  6. The oldest tree in Poland approximately a thousand-year-old oak called Bartek

  7. The LAG communes are situated in the area of Staropolski Okreg Przemyslowy (SOP) – the old industrial centre in Poland.

  8. It should be mentioned that this area is inseparably connected with great Poles who lived here including famous writers: The Nobel Price Winner in Literature Henryk Sienkiewicz

  9. Wehave organised a series of events in order to promote LAG in which in total over few thousand of people took part. During each event the artistic output was presented by folk and dancing groups, painters, sculptors, blacksmiths, knight’s troops.

  10. There was a chance to see exhibits from local museums as well as to taste dishes of the local cuisine. During the events the most popular attraction turned out to be horses from local stables.
