  1. October 11, 2012More on Radians Warm-up:Questions on HW 4.1b? Sorry, you didn’t have to do #18 and 20. Oops! We’ll go over in class later. HW: Memorize the common angles in radians on the unit circle.

  2. Coterminal Angles: α + 360k Angles that have the same initial and terminal sides, but not the same angles. Example 1: Coterminal angles for 210° α + 360k, k is the number of rotations When α = 210, 210 + 360(1) = 210 + 360(-1) = Name 2 coterminal angles for 0°. You try: Determine two coterminal angles (one positive and one negative) for 45° and -36°. 570° -150°

  3. Common Angles in Radians

  4. QUIZ! Without a calculator… 1. Identify the parent function and sequence of transformations: 2. Evaluate f(4.6) for f(x) = 2[[x – 3]] 3. Write the equation of an absolute value function reflected over the x-axis, shifted to the left 2 units and down 4. 4. Sketch 5. Draw the angles on a coordinate plane for the following: π, π/2, , 3π/2, 2π
