From Reactive to Proactive Reactive • We’ve received approximately 37 calls over 14 months from pregnant women seeking shelter & referrals for such women from other NPOs, schools, family advocates, and DCYF. • Today we react to those calls – and of the 37 we have housed approximately 10 women and their children. Proactive • I believe if we were proactive we could almost double that number of initial calls – potentially saving more babies lives. • Suggest we set a Goal – of a minimum of 60 calls
Outbound awareness Promotion through multiple channels • Outbound calls to Ob-Gyn listing and doctors offices • Additional bridge building to Social Service agencies • Proactive outbound contact to public School guidance counselors and Principals • Interfaith networking

Improving our response to the initial call • As we have agreed - Employing 24 hour – live person answering service. ‘Contact info’ capture and single hand off directly to Social Worker. • Call from LFH to make sure handoff was successful • Maximum 6 hour delay for LFH to data enter case
Better Documenting Referrals • Receiving written ‘follow up’ permission from the woman for post referral follow up. Data enter outcomes. • Set and hold weekly follow ups if possible

Adapting to our overflow • We’re full. 4 calls this week – currently at capacity – Need additional Host Families or a Change in Model • Host families face a heavy burden – Active Volunteer Recruiting, Clearance Checking, and Training Enrollment • Post move out follow ups – we’ve had a couple of repeat customers
Recruiting Host Families • Passive Recruiting • Budget around $7800 per year for Relevant Radio • Sample bulletin inserts through Diocese email to Priests • Hire me as an active recruiter It is has been every sales persons experience that you have to make the personal ‘Ask’
Take aways We’ll be on the air on both Secular Radio and Catholic Radio year round. We’ll have a material goods donation platform from Clear Channel We’ll be on Google. We’ll be on the road with signage. We’ll have continuous outreach to Doctors Offices, Schools, Multiple Faith Communities, and Other Social Service Agencies and a highly organized database of them all. LFH has a good website now. LFH will have 24/7 call answering by a live person 363 days per year and immediate referral to a Social Worker All our referrals will be tracked, data entered, and followed up with - no later than 3 hours after first contact and some on a weekly basis. We’ll have continuous passive & active recruiting of Host Families Or another way to look at it is – the Little Flower Home’s lamp will be out from underneath the bushel basket and we’ll have room at the Inn in a way that doesn’t require 3 shifts of staff God bless and thank you for hearing this out
