Unidad3,Etapa1 SanJuan,PuertoRico John Riordan Grammar Points: • Expressing Feelings with estar and adjectives: • Conjugated form of Estar + Adjective • These adjectives are about feelings (like happy or sad) • The adjective must agree in gender and number with the noun it describes • Saying what just happened with acabar de: • Conjugated form of Acabar + de + infinitive • Written in the present tense- normal conjugation • Acabar is a normal –ar verb • Saying where one is coming from with venir: • You can use Venir + a + location to say one is coming to a place • You can use Venir + de + location to say one is coming from a place • Venir is like tener, but with –ir endings • Written in the present tense- normal conjugation Saying what one likes to do with gustar + infinitive with “a phrase”: • Use an “a phrase” to identify or emphasize the subject who likes to do something • To use an “a phrase”- use A + (the noun, name, or pronoun of the subject) • After the “a phrase”, write the proper phrase shown at right and add the infinitive If using a pronoun, use the ones listed

Roberto is coming from the party. 10. I like to run. 11. They (feminine) like to swim. 12. Miguel and Ignacio like to talk on the telephone.
