Weather Station Facility SupportDet 1, 36 MSG, Diego Garcia • Thunder Cove Tent City Capabilities • 9 pagodas with 20 tent pads each (180 total) • Each tent has a fusible disconnect switch rated at 100Amps, 240V, 3PH. • Main disconnect receptacle use to power lighting, outlets and heating • Dedicated disconnect for air conditioner unit rated at 30Amps, 240V, 1PH is mounted behind main disconnect box • Receptacles mounted on each disconnect switches are 60Amps, 240V. • Receptacles are five (5) prong, 3PH, 5W devices for standard USAF contingency environment • Each tent has LAN connectivity • Thunder Cove Tent City Limiting Factors • A recent electrical study showed that some of the electrical panels at each tent pad require replacing and or maintenance due to corrosion and insect infestation. • Recommendation • Select the group of pads intended for use so that Det 1 can submit a work order to fully test the electrical system Current a/o: 19 Apr 11
