Dogging is a process and technique which is used to move loads or directing the crane operator in the movement of a load when the load is out of the view of the crane operator. The person who guides the crane operator is known as dogman. WHATISDOGGINGLICENCE ? Dogging Licence is a certificate issued by the SafeWork NSW to the eligible persons which shows that the concerned person knows how to guide the crane operator and other dogging operations at the workplace. WHYDOGGINGLICENCEISREQUIRED ? In order to provide safety and minimizing accidents, injuries at the workplace, SafeWork NSW has made it mandatory to have a dogging licence. Every year a lot injuries and accidents occur at workplace which results in several death and injuries. So, for dogging or any other high risk work you need a High Risk Work Licence to enhance your skills. These licences are recognised Australia wide. In order to get a high risk work licence you need to undertake the required training and assessment

  3. D O G G I N GC O U R S ET R A I N I N GI NS Y D N E Y WHATISTHEDURATIONOFTHE DOGGINGCOURSE? The total duration of the Dogging Course in Sydney is 5 days. The training is over four full days and SafeWork NSW assessment is conducted on the fifth day. WHATISFEESANDCHARGESOFDOGGING COURSE? The dogging course fee is $1,300 per person which is GST exempt. This fee includes the SafeWork NSW assessment fee and all other course material. Under this fees one SafeWork NSW assessment will be conducted. In order to conduct more assessement, additional $250 will be charged from a person. WHATISTHEDOGGINGLICENCEFEE? A SafeWork NSW Licence Application Fee of $70.50 applies when the successful applicant lodges the paperwork at a SafeWork NSW authorised Post Office. You will also be required to supply a passport sized photo for your licence. Most Post Offices can take these passport photos (approx. $14.95 for 4 photos).

D O G G I N GC O U R S ET R A I N I N GI NS Y D N E Y ELIGIBILITYFORADOGGINGLICENCE You are eligible to obtain a licence if you: 1. are at least 18 years of age. 2. pass training and assessment in Dogging Course from a recognised training orgainisation. 3. can understand and speak English HOWTOGETADOGGINGLICENCE ? After passing the required training and assessment in Dogging Course, lodge an application to the SafeWork NSW with 100 points of identificaion. Take those forms and documents to the nearest Australian Post Office and submit. After 21 days of submission, you'll get your Dogging Licence. HOWTORENEWADOGGINGLICENCE ? Before two months of the expiration of your Dogging Licence, you will receive a mail from the SafeWork NSW.
