Mengele's experiments also included attempts to change eye color by injecting chemicals into children's eyes, various amputations of limbs, and other surgeries. • 6. He moved to South America when WW2 was coming to an end.

Repeated requests were made to extradite Mengele to West Germany, where he was wanted for the murder of 2,000 human beings and for rendering assistance in the killing of another 200,000. But by then he was supposedly dead. • 10. He supposedly drowned in 1979 at a Brazilian beach resort and having been buried under an assumed name.
