  2. Raising Awareness The Global Poverty Project is raising awareness about extreme poverty across the globe. The Global poverty Project is to have a world without extreme poverty by 2030 (Global Poverty Project Inc,2008). “The Global Poverty Project's mission is to grow the number and effectiveness of Global Citizens to achieve the public, business and political commitment and action to end extreme poverty by 2030” (Global Poverty Project Inc, 2008).

People behind the Global Project Senior Leadership Team • Hugh Evans, Chief Executive Officer Hugh Evans is a humanitarian and an internationally renowned development advocate. • Simon Moss, Managing Director – Programs Simon Moss is a campaigning and community education expert. • Wei Soo, Managing Director – Operations Wei Soo comes from a background in tax consulting and tax litigation and is admitted to practice as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia. Wei holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University. • Jane Atkinson, Director of Communications Jane has been a communications adviser to high net worth individuals and companies for over 35 years.
