Discussion on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, with plans to recruit new officers for 2012 and focus on professional development. Chapter Leadership Team • Kai Wong - Chairman/Program • Sergio Liberman– Vice Chair/Treasury, Web Master • Bob Baker – Secretary • Jody Everett – Membership • Web site: http://ewh.ieee.org/r5/central_texas/cn/index.htm • Effective April 10, 2011.
Chapter Updates • Held meeting on the fourth Wed. of the month& regular officer meeting. • Conducted Consultants Workshop in June and made a small profit. • Recruited good speakers on various topics for eleven months till Nov. • Attendees averaged 26 in 8 Month.
SWOT Analysis • Strengths – Diversified members, Good team work; able to network and recruit speakers; attracted new attendees when we have the right topics. • Weaknesses – Not enough repeated attendees to grow the group size. • Opportunities – Partner with other group to do joint event and new program. • Threats – Need more younger members for future leadership team.
Chapter Plans / Issues • Recruit new officers for 2012. • Focus on program mix on professional development, training and technical topics. • Promote with social networks, recruit younger member, network & job referral. • Partner to host workshop in 2012. • Used Poke-Jo’s Parmer for few months. May look for new meeting location.
