  1. Working and Exercising IN SPACE BY: CHIRAG, INSHAL, SHRUJAN, MOHAMED

  2. Why is exercising important in space? Exercising in space is not just fun; its necessary to keep astronauts healthy and functional. On Earth, gravity works against our muscles and bones. Every time we move. This requires our bodies to maintain enough muscles and bone mass to support our own weight.

  3. HOW OFTEN DO ASTRONAUTS WORK IN SPACE? Astronauts participating in space shuttle missions, which are usually two weeks, exercise for approximately thirty minutes per day. Astronauts in the ISS (International Space Station) exercise for periods of up to two hour hours.

  4. What equipment do they use? Astronauts use a cycle egrometer and a treadmill for cardiovascular exercise. A cycle egrometer is similar to a bike , it has a clip petal and an option of using a waist strap, back support, and hand hold to secure themselves.

  5. What kinds of jobs do astronauts have? Astronauts have a large amount of work to do while living in space. Tasks vary from operating state-of-the-art robotics equipment to conducting space science experiments on behalf of scientists on the ground. Astronauts are also responsible for repairs, maintaining onboard systems, cleaning and food preparation.

  6. CONCLUSION Thank you for watching Peace!!!
