Problem • Gaining weight • Not having time on afternoons to exercise • Feeling groggy some days • Floor showers are disgusting on afternoons
Benefits of exercising in the morning • Over 90% of people who exercise consistently exercise in the morning. • Your metabolism "jump starts" and keeps elevated for hours • Improves productivity; you are more energized all the day • Regulates the appetite for the day for many
More Benefits • You set time aside to do something good for yourself- to take care of their body, mind, and soul. • In the morning there are fewer scheduling conflicts • Better sleep
Experiment • Exercise 5 mornings per week • Loose some the college weight I’ve gained • Create a daily routine • More productive through the day
Day #1 • Woke up at 8 AM • 8:30 AM: Ran for an hour at Audubon Park • Eat moderately throughout the day • Felt energized in the day and went to sleep easily at 10:30 PM
Day #2 • Woke up at 8:20 AM • 8:40 AM: Went to the gym for an hour • Felt more hungry all day, so I eat many small snacks • Felt energized
Day #3 • Did not excersise in the morning (Saturday morning) • Carelessly ate • My muscles were sore • Went to bed at a reasonable hour
Day #4 • Woke up at 9 AM • 9:30 AM: Ran for an hour at Audubon Park • Eat moderately throughout the day • Felt energized in the day and went to sleep easily at 11:30 PM
Results • Created a routine • I liked that I got exercising out of my way early in the morning • I used the time to meditate and plan my day and life calmly • Can see my waist back getting smaller • Moderated my consumption of food because I felt bad to eat back the calories I worked hard to burn
Conculusion • I will definitely keep exercising in the morning. • Exercising on a routine allows me to keep up of which days I’ve exercised and how much, and what I can do to improve and keep getting better • I look up to excersise in the morning every night • I do people-watching and learn from my surroundings
