  2. What is mike’s style of photography? Mike’s style of photography is skate/ action photography.

  3. What/who in Inspired Mike Blabac? Mike Blabac first began skating when he was 12 years old, inspired by the photos he saw in skateboarding magazines such as Thrasher and Transworld skateboarding. He has always been interested and spent hours studying the work by legendary skateboarding photographers Luke Ogden, J.Grant Brittain and Spike Jonze. Got his first camera in 1987 from a swap meet, which was a Nikon F3.

  4. DC -The event, hosted by DC Shoes, took place at Brooklyn’s Powerhouse Arena. Along with the evening’s festivities, selected collections of Blabac’s photos were on display along the venue walls. A culmination of 20 years, the BLABAC PHOTO highlights the influence Blabac had in documenting the sport of skateboarding. He was also one of few photographers that decided to focus on skateboarding photography early on, just before the sport accelerated to become what it is today. • For the past 13 years, Mike Blabac's photos have shaped the history of DC Shoes.

  5. My Response: I Found Mike Blabac to be quit intriguing. What made him interesting was that he was one of the few photographers that decided to focus on skateboarding photography early on, before this particular sport accelerated to where it stands today. Personally , I am really into action photography because it freezes and captures the moment in that very second.

  6. SOME PHOTOGRAPHY:

  7. Some advice from Mike BLabac: During an interview, Mike was asked, “what does it take to be a good skateboarding photographer” he replied, “Number one is that you have to be a really good photographer. I’ve learned a lot over the years and I’m still learning. Number two is that you have to have the patience of a saint, whether it’s dealing with the team or dealing with the people who are trying to stop you from skateboarding—those are two of the main traits you’re going to need.”
