9. Peralta Scholars PERSIST Program Reconfiguration of existing BCC initiatives to launch a comprehensive academic success program targeting disadvantaged students from low SES backgrounds to increase recruitment, persistence, and completion .

Program elements include: bridge program, orientation, intrusive counseling, early alert, mandatory homework labs, supplemental instruction, professional development, and dedicated staff and faculty. Program benefits will include Peralta Foundation scholarships, PSPP grants to cover all educational expenses and offset other basic living expenses (including book vouchers, campus parking fees, technology, child care costs, and instructional supplies), delivery of SSSP services, and a built-in peer network from the bridge program.
