  3. The structure and courses of B3

  4. Where are we standing right now?

  5. How is the programme of B3 constructed? Mandatory courses Domain electives Free electives

  6. The mandatory courses: how is the programme? MANDATORY (32 EC) • Choose 2 out of 3. One of them is your domain course. The otherone is justanothermandatory course. • B&C3: ClinNeuropsy • D&H3: Psych & Health • B&E3: Cogn, Att & Beh Bachelor’s thesis (6 ec) Research Project 3 (6 ec) PsychologicalEthics (4 ec) Me & My Career Applied Research Methods (4 ec) Me & My Career DOMAIN Elective (16 EC) FREE Elective (16 EC)

  7. The mandatory courses: Me and My Career • Why? Graduates often sigh: "I wish I had thought about my future career way earlier“. MMC is challenging you to think about your career questions. • How? By working on four compulsory assignments in B2 and B3: 2x ‘Interest, Qualities and Goals’ and 2x ‘Work Field Orientation’. The assignments will be graded by your MMC-counselor. Please note: you need to pass MMC, to graduate for your bachelor degree. • More information? Check online prospectus fora description of the course, look at Brightspace for assessment criteria and deadlines. Stillquestions? Send and email to mmc@psych.ru.nl.

  8. The mandatory courses: some points of interests • You choose one domain, the other theoretical course you choose is just another course. Do you want to attend them all? Then one of these courses becomes a free elective. • Do you have to pass B1- and/or B2-courses? Check if you are allowed to enroll for ARM, RP3 and BT. You can find the prerequisites in the online prospectus. • ARM, RP3 and BT are mandatory courses for each domain, but per domain it differs in content. Be sure you enroll yourself for your chosen domain. Be aware: your registration for ARM or RP3 will determine your domain officially. • Be sure that Me and My Career has your attention. It is a small part of your programme based on self study and therefore easy to forget, but you need it to graduate!

  9. Domain and free elective courses: what is the difference? Domain courses are linked to your chosen domain. MANDATORY (32 EC) Abroad DOMAIN Elective (16 EC) FREE Elective (16 EC) Free electives can be any course as long as they have an academic level and don’t have overlap with Psychology courses Prepare yourself well if you want to go abroad. Check the website, go to the info session and visit the International Office.

  10. The elective courses: how to count? You are attending a B3-course right now in period 4! If you pass this course, those credits are already in your pocket. In that matter you only need to plan 28 EC in B3.
