  1. Ten Things that Vegas First-Timers Need to Know

  2. Everybody who comes to Vegas has an image in the mind of what it’s like, what they think they’ll get up to and what kind of memories they’ll go away with. Actually, the key to a really great time in Las Vegas, is to go with an open mind, let things flow and embrace everything that the Sin City throws at you.

  3. To make sure that you make the most of your time in Vegas, however, there are a few tips which you can use to ensure that you really have the time of your life and enjoy everything that Las Vegas has to offer.

  4. So, what are the top ten tips for Vegas first-timers?

  5. 1. Take your drinks with you – In Vegas it is legal to drink almost anywhere, so people don’t think twice about taking their drinks with them. Ask for a ‘to go cup’ and you will be given a disposable cup to take your drink out with and you can be on your way!

  6. 2. It’s fine to hang out with an escort– There are beautiful women (and men) everywhere in Vegas. For those who are there on their own – or just fancy some conversation with a beautiful woman – hanging out with an escort is as normal as pie, so go and enjoy yourself!

  7. 3. It is BIG – It might seem that everything is close-by but Las Vegas is actually huge! Just from one end of The Strip to the other, is about 4 miles, so you can be guaranteed that after a couple of days, you will be looking for a taxi…

  8. 4. Keep gambling for free drinks – A lot of casinos will tempt you to stay spending (or losing) money by giving you free drinks. Basically, if they are making money from you gambling, they will keep giving you free drinks – both to keep you there and, of course to affect your game!

  9. 5. Take plenty of cash – It’s very easy to spend money in Vegas, but also very expensive to take it out of the ATM. You will have massive charges whacked on, so try to take as much cash with you as possible.

  10. 6. Everyone Smokes – You can smoke almost everywhere in Las Vegas – including inside a lot of the casinos, so if you are particularly sensitive to smoke, make sure that you find a hotel that doesn’t allow it.

  11. 7. Art Everywhere – One of the additional hidden gems that Vegas offers is a plethora of art. Try to take some time out of drinking and gambling for the art galleries in the Bellagio, and the Cosmopolitan.

  12. 8. Men must buy a ticket to get into a club – In total contrast to women, men need to make sure that they have tickets, a bottle or a table pre-bought, to be able to get into a club. There is no point, especially if you are a group of guys, trying to get in.

  13. 9. Check out Downtown Las Vegas – Although it’s pretty far away from The Strip, downtown Las Vegas is worth a visit. The prices are much lower, you can get some great food, and you can also visit The Mob Museum which shows the old Vegas.

  14. 10. Eat – Another hidden gem in Vegas is the wonderful food there. Don’t go without checking some of the Vegas restaurants.

  15. For a first-timer, Vegas has a lot to take in. So by being prepared in some way, you can make sure that you really make the most of your time in Las Vegas and experience at least some of what it has to offer.
