  1. Learning Reporters

  2. What are Learning Reporters? Learning Reporters are appointed students who will report to the class on what has been learned today. All students will take part as Learning Reporters and this is on a rota basis. Learning Reporters will work in pairs and this will take part in most lessons.

  3. What should Learning Reporters report on? The Learning Reporters will give a short report summarising the lesson. This report should include the following – • 3 points that are the most important in summarising the lesson – this can be knowledge and skills. • 1 useful point that you found on your learning walk. • 1 top tip for improvement making progress.

  4. How should Learning Reporters complete the report? 3 points that are the most important in summarising the lesson – this can be knowledge and skills. Here you should think about what was the key learning points in the lesson. You can use a mixture of key information – such as Foreign policy in 1518 was a success because the Treaty of London brought the main countries of Europe together – and key skills – today we developed source skills and it is important to consider the source’s audience when analysing its meaning.

  5. How should Learning Reporters complete the report? 1 useful point that you found on your learning walk. Here you should complete a learning walk – this is looking at other students’ work. This should last no more than 4 minutes. Pick out something positive that someone has done for your useful point. This could be that someone has made a good point in a class discussion or someone has written something you have found interesting.

  6. How should Learning Reporters complete the report? 1 top tip for improvement Here you should make a point that you think everyone should remember to do next time. This could be based on your observation on a learning walk, something which the teacher has emphasised or a point you have picked up from reading the text book.

  7. The Learning Report The Learning Report will be made at the end of the lesson and both students should make the report and have a record of it. This report should be then kept in your file as a record that you have completed it.
