  1. Our church Life Objectives:- • How can we make use of the • Church’s help as per God’s Plan ? • How can we help the Church?

  2. The Church- its aims and objectives • The Church has been formed as a sign or hint of God’s Love for the world • Ecclesia, is the Greek word for Church, means those who are called apart. Those who are specially called apart as God’s children are in the church. • The Church is a model serving community which should be there as a guiding light to the whole world.

The Church- its aims and objectives • People in the Church are bound to express God’s Characteristics as a Society. • Leads us to inseparable connection with Christ • When it is said that the Church is Christ’s body , it’s the Church’s responsibility to make the invisible Christ visible everywhere.

  4. The Church- its aims and objectives • Many people think Church as the loving mother. • V.Ciprian , the Father who belonged to Carthage in North Africa in the 3rd century, wrote that the Church can’t be Father to the one to whom its is not mother.

The Church- its aims and objectives • In the Baptism service , it is said that the infant who is born again in the Holy Spirit is entrusted to the Church to bring up spiritually. • The Church is like a Hospital, Its important mission of the Church to find out the mental and spiritual diseases of the members and work out their inner healing of the mind, spirit and body.

To make use of the Church’s ministries Participation in the spiritual organizations. • The Spiritual organisations like Sunday School , M.G.O.C.S.M and Youth League are what is offered through the church for the development of personality in accordance with God’s Plans. • The hall mark of Orthodox Christian Life is the worship. • Worship turns your attention to Christ • Help you to be filled with Holy spirit • To grow in fullness of God. • We are bound to make use of Holy communion, and • Other Sacraments to grow in divinity till the end of our Life.

  7. Courses of Study • Along with the way of faith we can also make use of knowledge. • Sunday Schools , OVBS and programme’s for the Laity( Divya Bodnam) ,are conducted efficiently by Indian Orthox Church. The books published by Orthodox Seminary consists of Biblical interpretations, spiritual exhortations and also works on theology and psychology.

  8. You can serve Church • You can become Servants of Church by being a Priest • By obeying and respecting the authority of the Church , May be the Priest. • The church grows as the youth listens to their advice, grow and bear fruit in Christ. • Through financial , social and political services. • By Criticising and being open to criticism.

Youcan serve Church • By Criticising and being open to criticism. • It is necessary to give effective answers when faith and rites of the Church are questioned, • Fathers of early Church gave shape to affirmation of faith and theology in response to the opposition and criticism of faith and creed. • The children of the Church have also the duty to point out that which turns out to be against Christ’s will in the Church as well as when the Church does not witness as God expects it. • It is also a service to the Church to reduce the distance between the theory and practice or the ideal and the real in the church’s style of functioning as much as possible.
