  7. Caroline Chisholm Caroline Chisholm (whom was before marriage known as Caroline Jones) travelled with her husband Archibald Chisholm to New South Wales. Caroline was shocked by the poverty of the recently arrived immigrants, especially the single women who had no support. She deeply sympathized for them. So Caroline Chisholm from 1838 to 1846 helped and gave support those who needed it, not thinking about their nationality what so ever.
