  • Fish

  • Most diverse vertebrate group
  • These vertebrates live their whole life in water
  • Most fish have gills
  • Fish are usually covered by scales
  • Live part of their life in water and part of their life on land
  • Most adult amphibians live on land, but need water to reproduce
  • Amphibians have thin moist skin and four legs

  • Most have thick dry skin covered with scales
  • Reproduce on land
  • Reptiles breathe with lungs
  • Are different from all other vertebrates in that they have both feathers and wings
  • Birds have hollow bones and air sacs that help them to fly
  • Mother’s take care of and feed their young milk.

  • They have gills for breathing, jaws for capturing food, a circulatory system, and some have brains

  • There are more arthropods on Earth than any other animal
  • They have a tough outer skeleton, jointed legs, and a body made up of sections
