Water project proposal Slavsk Rayon “Polder” area, water system needs requires improvement largerparts no longer in usedueto water problems Russian assessment: large investments needed Dutch approach: integrated plan involving assessment foragriculture, natureandotherfunctions if possible: introduction of a “self-governing” water (management) board, to be responsible for maintenance required: transfer of responsibility and (co-)finance from RF first: more information on situation needed, local partners
