  3. MAVEN Reports Once you click on the report icon a new reporting window opens Click on the down arrow button to preview all available reports

  4. Seven reports available to LBOH

  5. LBOH Basic Line List • Click on Run Report or Export Report • Allows you to view or save

  6. Result from clicking on the run report or export button * First three lines must be deleted so you can sort your report

  7. LBOH count by received date report Shows user all events where you have selected yes for Step 1 (LBOH notified)

  8. LBOH count by EventDate report Shows user all events specified in the date range for events with a event date count

  9. LBOH extract for disease events

  10. LBOH extract in csv format (comma separate values) • Click on Open or Save (you choose) Notice the problem with formatting – you can’t see the variable fields – not a problem with a few tricks

  11. Formatting your spreadsheet • Place cursor in the square above the number 1 and to the left of the A and click once – document will be highlighted

  12. Formatting By placing cursor in between the two columns (A & B) and then double click all columns will open up to the correct size

  13. How to sort your spreadsheet • Highlight the column you want sorted (ie Disease) and then click on the • Data then Sort is another way to sort

  14. LBOH events by time period • This report gives you a snapshot of your town for specific periods

  15. Events by time period • Current Month, Previous Month, Year to Date, Last Year, and Last Year to Date by Status

  16. LBOH events by event by week date • You can select single diseases or groups • Need to select a status

  17. LBOH incomplete case report forms • Line list of all case report forms that Have not been submitted • Reminder to print in landscape • Call ISIS with any questions

  19. Excel Basics • Edit Copy or Edit Paste (Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V) • Cut (Ctrl-X) • Sorting • Formatting • Borders, centering, orientation, header, footer • Undo something (Ctrl-Z)

  20. How to cut and paste from a report to an excel spreadsheet • Highlight all rows you want to cut and paste from MAVEN report to an excel spreadsheet

  21. Pasting the document from the web to excel • Ctrl-V pastes the document into the spreadsheet for you to view and print

  22. Pasting into a document • Once highlighted then hold down the Ctrl key while selecting the X key (this cuts the doc) • Open Excel and place cursor in Column A (first cell) • Either Select Edit from the task menu or hit the Ctrl key while selecting V (this pastes)

  23. Formatting your document • Highlight cells you want to be formatted

  24. Borders • Clicking on the Border Icon you can select the type of border you want to print your report out with

  25. Page Setup controls a few things • File-Page Setup (orientation, scaling, margins, header, footer, columns headers to print on every sheet)

  26. Deleting columns you don’t need • Highlight the column you don’t need • Right click on the column and select delete • Column to the right will automatically move to the left

  27. Centering column data • Highlight column then click on the center icon
