Everything You Need to Know About the Snapmaker Rotary Module Released in early 2021, as part of the Snapmaker's #stayfoolishkeepmaking campaign to celebrate the 'Makers" spirit, the Snapmaker 2.0 rotary module received positive reviews from influencers, media, and designers all over the world. The Snapmaker rotary module adds the 4-axis to the Snapmaker modules, unlocking a new world of functionality, prototyping, and opportunities to the already versatile machine. These properties allow you to jump from 2.5D CNC machining to incredibly detailed designs that look as good as 3D prints. The module is characterized by three-dimensional artwork that can create gaming miniatures, small-sized sculptors, or even hollow objects such as a candle holder. It can accomplish a level of details and craftsmanship that no other 3D printing can without extrusion, layer shifting, enclosure, or the support of FDM. You can also laser engrave on rounded objects. Like all Snapmakers modules, the snapmaker 2.0 rotary module is precisely machined from anodized aluminum, making it lightweight yet high-performance. In addition, it comes with swappable 3-jaw chucks that clamp inwards or outwards, together with dedicated tailstocks that give you extra stability during precise operations. Fitting perfectly into the Snapmaker 2.0 ecosystem, the Snapmaker rotary module comes in two sizes, the A250T and A350T. In addition, it is shipped along with the Snapmaker emergency stop button, which allows you to instantly stop a job in the event of an error or an emergency. The module also comes with a Snapmaker Luban, a customized software with an intelligent, visualized G-code-generated workflow to help you quickly set up your work.
Moreover, it uses strain wave gearing and packs a 100:1 speed reducer that converts power to a lower output speed; this allows the 3-jaw chuck to rotate with a minimum angle of 0.1 degrees, making it possible for you to make it on uneven and irregular surfaces without missing a step. The snapmaker 2.0 rotary module has a new touch screen feature, the origin assistant, that smoothens your experience and interaction with rotary carving. You can choose to assist mode for a more manageable process or the manual mode for more flexible controls. Presetting CNC bits, setting origins, Z –offsets, and installing materials have been made easy. This rotary module support dozens of materials such as wood, plastic, bamboo, leather, fabric, tooling board, non-transparent acrylic, and more. The Snapmaker rotary module is compatible with all current and future Snapmaker modules the company releases. Email: Pre-sales: info@snapmaker.com Tel: +86(0)755 26926117
