1 Reading Reading is a complex cognitive process of decoding symbols in order to construct or derive meaning (reading comprehension). It is a means of language acquisition, of communication , and of sharinginformation and ideas. Like all language, it is a complex interaction between the text and the reader which is shaped by the reader’s prior knowledge, experiences, attitude, and language community which is culturally and socially situated. 3 Styles of reading Scanning: for a specific focus The technique you use when you're looking up a name in the phone book: you move your eye quickly over the page to find particular words or phrases that are relevant to the task you're doing. 5 The content of reading lessons is different from one stage to another . in other words we found the reading lesson in the first stage include sentences and new Vocabulary Text in here Company Logo

6 In the second stage the content expand and include passages sentences and conversation *- In the third stage , the reading lessons contents are developed and higher than previous stage But poems and stories are learnt separately and they aren’t include in the reading lessons . 12 • Reading exercises are play a major role to develop students comprehension & thinking skills • The ability to read is an important skill to learn in this day and age. Furthermore, the development of good comprehension is the basis for providing children and adults the necessary tool to be able to analyze, understand, and make informed decisions Company Logo

13 • It is a well –known fact that when there were no televisions or computer reading was primary leisure activity. • People would spend how's reading books and travel to land for away –in their mind • The only far away in their mind Company Logo
