  1. The Empty Sacrifice Mark 8 36 "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 "Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 "For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

  2. Refusing to be a Faithful Christian, One Sacrifices… • Their soul • And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Gen. 2:7) • "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matt. 10:28) • The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. (Ezek. 18:20) • For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23) It costs NOTTOBE a faithful Christian!!!!

  3. Refusing to be a Faithful Christian, One Sacrifices… • The highest joy • Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. (Acts 8:39) • But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. (Gal. 5:22-23) • You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalms 16:11) It costs NOTTOBE a faithful Christian!!!!

  4. Refusing to be a Faithful Christian, One Sacrifices… • True peace • Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Rom. 5:1) • Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:6-7) • They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, 'Peace, peace!' When there is no peace. (Jer. 6:14) • "There is no peace," Says my God, "for the wicked." (Isa. 57:21) It costs NOTTOBE a faithful Christian!!!!

  5. Refusing to be a Faithful Christian, One Sacrifices… • Real success • “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Mk. 8:36-37) • Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. (1 Tim. 6:6-8) • Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (Phil. 3:13-14) It costs NOTTOBE a faithful Christian!!!!

  6. Refusing to be a Faithful Christian, One Sacrifices… • Their influence for truth • Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” (Rev.14:13) • By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. (Hebrews 11:4) • Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. (1 Cor.11:1) It costs NOTTOBE a faithful Christian!!!!

  7. Refusing to be a Faithful Christian, One Sacrifices… • Any hope of heaven • Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6) • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (1 Pet. 1:3-5) It costs NOTTOBE a faithful Christian!!!!

  8. Refusing to be a Faithful Christian, One Sacrifices… • Any hope of heaven • "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. "Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matt. 5:11-12) • And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matt. 25:30) It costs NOTTOBE a faithful Christian!!!!
