Biography Born Reuben Lucius Goldberg July 4th 1883- December 7th 1970 Born & raised in San Francisco, Rube graduated at The university of California Berkley. •Rube earned a degree in engineering his occupation working for the city of San Francisco Water And Sewer Department. Wanting to be an Cartoonist, Rube realized engineering was not for him. •He began sending drawings & cartoons to the editor of San Francisco Newspaper. Once the editor accepted, Rube was a success! Rube moved to New York and worked for Evening Mail Daily Cartoons.
