  2. Descriptive Facts • Wasps are brightly colored insects. • They have 3 body parts. • They are called head, thorax and abdomen.

  3. Habitat Facts • They are found all over the world. • They need a place with flowers • Wasps are not found in Antarctica and the North Pole

  4. Diet Facts • Wasps eat larvae. • They feed on garden pests. • Some adult wasps are meat eaters. • They also drink nectar.

  5. Predator Facts • Bees and wasps are preyed upon by a variety of animals such as tarantulas. • Some get caught in a spider’s web. • While the others get eaten by birds.

  6. Super Duper Facts • Some wasps are trained to find landmines. • Never kill a wasp near its nest because it releases a smell that alerts other wasps that come in 15 seconds.
