KnowledgeBank: Next Generation Goals and Objectives KB:NG will create a cyber safe space and single portal of teaching and learning content to showcase new and emerging technologies supported by Department policy and process. The KB:NG project is focused on the following goals and objectives: • Delivery of a single portal for curriculum and professional teaching resources that has appropriate meta data tagging; • Establish a leadership position for curriculum and professional teaching electronic content; • Delivery of a collection of exemplary curriculum projects using new and emerging tools and technologies; • Demonstrated increases in the usage of Web 2.0 on VicSmart, especially in rural and remote areas; • A quality assurance framework to adopt for content which includes intellectual property management; and • Interoperability standards for content to be showcased and delivered though the Victorian Government’s Ultranet.
