Step One Facility Approval of Nurse Aide training and competency evaluation program • Identify a qualified facility in your area • Or consider becoming a certified facility if you meet state requirements • Contact Julie Gdowski Julie.Gdowski@academicplatforms.com if you want to become a qualified facility & conduct laboratory and supervised clinical training in your facility • Ensure you have the required equipment • Create schedule for class identifying lab days and coordinate with other administrators if multiple sites are involved

If your facility has an approved program already you need to make sure: • The RN approved to teach the program is still the same RN or you will need to get approval from governing body for the current RN. • You will need to send a syllabus outline of the AHCA blended on-line program and sample calendar of the blended on-line program. • Contact Julie Gdowski Julie.Gdowski@academicplatforms.com if you do not have this information.

Instructor Selection and Registration Step Two • Identify an instructor that has completed state required training or meets requirements • Approved Instructor should then register for a subscription to the Instructor Online resource site(this is not the course, it is resources for teaching) http://www.ahcapublications.org/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=8463 • Purchase Samsung tablet for online • Competency check off grading if you do not have a tablet or PC already available

  5. Facility Registration General Information Step Three • Contact Gwynette Winstead to let her know you want to host a class Gwynette.winstead@academicplatforms.com she can help you with the following forms • Fill out the Facility registration • (Available online) www.cnaonline.com/generalinfo

  6. Fill out Portal Request form Step Four • Complete the Portal Form • (Available online link below) • After several days you will receive notification that your portal has been created from CNA online and instructions on how to access it www.cnaonline.com/portalrequest

  7. Step Five Complete Course Build Form • Fill out course build form (available online) Julie Gdowski can help with this form. Julie.Gdowski@academicplatforms.com • Submit any required logos or videos with forms www.cnaonline.com/courserequest

  8. Step Six Complete Orientation Training Session • Sign up for orientation class through Julie Gdowski Julie.Gdowski@academicplatforms.com • Virtual Class approximately 2 hours • Instructions on the use of the administrative portal as well as the online course system • Introduce instructors to the support tools and support system • Learn how to communicate online with students • Introduce instructors to the Skills Grader tablet tool for live lab analysis and grading This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-SA

Step Seven Access your new Portal and register students • Log in to your new portal per email instructions sent to you from CNAonline (Our team will walk you through this or we can do this for you) • Start registering new students per email instructions (Our team will do this for you if you prefer)

Step Eight Finalize Class Launch • Confirm schedule for class and make sure all instructors, administrators, and students are aware of lab days and location prior to submitting final schedule • Have your selected instructor contact our nurse educator Julie Gdowski and let her know you are ready to finalize and launch your class.
