  7. Unit Rate - a ratio that has a denominator of one. Examples: cost for one pound pages read in one hour cups that can fit on one shelf

  8. Write the unit rate: $30 for six books ____ for one book

  10. Write the unit rate: 50 books on 2 shelves

  12. Write the unit rate: A 17 minute telephone call from Boston to Chicago costs $2.38. What is the cost per minute?

  13. Better Buy - The CHEAPER of the two unit rates…(the lowest amount). Example: 2 cokes for $1.00 ($.50 each) 4 cokes for $1.75 ($.44 each) 4 cokes for $1.75 is cheaper so it is the better buy.
