  2. Howdy All, It looks like things are coming together for this Saturday...can't wait to see y'all! Here is a quick update on what we have so far: 1. Bernard's Restaurant - Wine Room - 1:00PM - 4:30PM We will all be sitting at a large circular table with a diameter of 7 feet. There is a fireplace for warmth and comfort. We have selected Option #2 on the Three Course Luncheon which includes a selection of one of each of the following items: 2 Passed Hors d’oeuvres, 2 Appetizers, 3 Main Courses and 1 Dessert, coffee or tea for a total cost of $46.00 per person. Bernard's will print out a menu with these selections(of which you can choose one(1) from each when it is time to order): 2 Passed Hors d'oeuvres - Basil and Parmesan Risotto Cakes with Tomato Compote or Crab Cakes with lemon and thyme sauce, 2 Appetizers - Mesclun, Bibb Lettuce & Endive Salad, Julienne Apples, Dried Cranberries, Toasted Pumpkin Seeds, Goat Cheese Cigarette, Apple Cider Vinaigrette or Sautéed Shrimp, Shaved Fennel, Toasted Pine Nuts, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Tomato Vinaigrette, 3 Main Course - French Cut Breast of Chicken, Black Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Endive Meuniere, Haricots Verts, Thyme Sauce or Polenta Crusted Salmon Tournedo, Kale, Acorn Squash, Baby Bock Choy, Morel Sauce or Ground Sirloin Burger, French Fries, Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato, & Onion, 1 Dessert - Trio of Desserts – Fondant au chocolat, crème brûle, tuille & sorbet. Mags, Rudy, and the kids can opt for gluten-free food and must let our server know upon our arrival. Finally, the menu will say, "Linda and Tom's 50th Wedding Anniversary" on top. 2. Flowers - I have ordered a large bouquet(with Felicia's insight and design sense, thank God) that fits the occasion, as well as colors in the room. Feel free to bring flowers, cards, and/or gifts if you'd like, but the centerpiece for the table is taken care of. 3. Photos - Thanks to all who are working on bringing photos to the get-together. When talking to Mom yesterday, I did request that she bring her photo album from the wedding so we could take a look at pictures, as well. 4. Arrival at the restaurant - Mom assures me that she is okay with driving them to the restaurant. I plan to be there around 12:30PM - 12:45PM, just as an FYI. 5. Payment - I have already put a down payment on my credit card and would place the balance of all expenses on it as well. Y'all can cut checks and send them to me in the mail some time later for your portion. That way we don't have to worry about money flying back and forth. I plan to provide a 20% tip, so long as service is good. Please let me know if that is too little/much. Cool...that's what we've got so far.
