  3. Create a speech in the shoes of a historical figure from the civil rights. Persuade the audience to agree with the person’s beliefs.

  4. Criteria • First write a 5 paragraph essay to turn into Mrs. Neal. • Be sure to use gerunds, infinitives, appositives, & participles. • Write the points on note cards and the speech should be 2-5 minutes. • Remember to use at least 3 pieces of evidence & famous quotes of that person.

  5. Due Dates • Essay : March 19 • Speeches : 20 & 21
