Homework:Answer the following questions on lined paper or in a Word Doc. • Define the following words: 1) prejudice , 2) bigotry , 3) genocide • Check out these websites for answers to the questions below: http://www.ushmm.org/confront-genocide or http://endgenocide.org/ • list 2 countries that have suffered from genocide before 2000 • list 2 countries that has or is currently suffering from genocide since 2001 • list 2 specific cases of genocide (example: discrimination of the Jewish people) • Journal Prompt: Pick one of the two options and respond in at least a paragraph. • 1) Should we always intervene upon incidents of prejudice, bigotry, or genocide? What do you personally think and why? • 2) Describe a time you witnessed someone getting bullied. Did you intervene to stop the actions? What did the other people around you do? Why was the person being bullied in the first place?
