  3. Our Big Idea A technical school model for women that collaborates with the local businesses and organizations to train women through experiential learning to fulfill community needs through innovative markets.

  6. Program Overview 3 Year Pilot Program in 2 locations: Urban Rural 1 Year: Needs assessment; teacher recruitment/training; student recruitment 2 year degree program

Program Overview (cont.) • Faculty • A majority being local Kenyan women educators and practitioners • Curriculum Development • Multi-track options (e.g.New Ventures through Gender Justice, IT, agricultural sustainability) • 8 Hours a week and Internship • Internship • Corresponds with WRI's New Venture Program or Vulnerability and Adaptation Project
