Micro Finance in India • FINO Micro Finance Process • Cardholders needs to enrol into the Fino program at any of the many enrolment stations around the country in order to receive a biometric card • Every card contains cardholder demographic data as well as biometric minutiae (fingerprints) for authentication at the time of transaction • MFIs appoints agents that travel to the rural areas to service cardholders by: • Distributing issued cards • distributing loans • collecting savings • delivering back office updates to the cards • MFIs’ agents collect transaction information which they upload to the FINO Host
