  3. Liquid Diets Examples are: -Slim Fast -Nestle’s Sweet Success Shake for breakfast, shake for lunch, eat a sensible dinner Problems: -Shakes are not filling, people become ravenous by dinner time and overeat -When people go back to normal eating, they gain the weight back easily

  4. Paleo Also referred to as the caveman diet, based on the food humans' ancient ancestors might likely have eaten, such as lean meat, nuts and berries Problems associated with the diet: -unbalanced, can be restrictive, and may lead to nutritional deficiencies because of the lack of variety

  5. Soup Diets Cabbage Soup Diet, Tomato Soup Diet Eat unlimited amounts of soup for a week. Eat nothing but the soup and water. Problems associated: -Gas! Lots of flatulence from the soup -No variety. Hard to stick to eating the same thing everyday for a week -When you go back to normal eating, weight lost during the diet will come back easily

  6. Fasting How the diet works: A person stops eating for quick weightloss Problems associated: -When caloric consumption is low there is not enough glucose to provide energy. Fainting, dizzy spells can occur. -Confusion, unconsciousness, and even death can occur if fasting for longer periods
