This trek is on everyone’s bucket list and is also regarded as a very difficult trek by the public. So, what are the physical and mental challenge in doing this trek? Well, we will discuss below the challenges faced and also provide a solution how to be out of it. Physical challenges- • Need to be physically fit and be able to walk up to 7 or 8 hours a day couple of days and 6 hours most of the days. • You need to walk on a rough surface and in varying weather condition as weather can become unpredictable at times in this region. • You may think downhill walking is easy but not the case – it will be uncomfortable and can often hurt legs. • Need to cope with high altitude and need to be disciplined to be slow and adhere to acclimatization rules and listen to the guide. Mental challenge-

  2. Commitment needed for setting a goal such as setting a target date, in training and preparation, to complete the trek, to lock in the date for the epic journey. • Financial commitment to save for the trip and make a booking. • Commitment to check the gear list and do shopping in preparation for the trek. • Being open minded to travel in a third world country and out of the city to a remote place and be able to appreciate local people, culture, language, and environment.
