    buildings are responsible for 39 percent of all energy consumption, 72 percent of all electricity consumption, and 55 percent of natural gas use in the United States; buildings are responsible for 38 percent of all carbon dioxide emissions in the United States; efficiency in buildings can readily be improved in most cases using existing technologies to reduce building energy consumption by 25 percent or more; buildings represent 14 percent of potable water use in the United States, also affording opportunity for significant efficiency improvement;

    If every SF home in Texas increased efficiency by 20%, 7 yr. energy savings > $13.7 billion savings are possible if consumers are armed with credible, Energy Efficiency info when buying a home or considering home energy upgrades. report advocates consumer education and voluntary energy ratings.         We just wanted to tell you again how much we appreciate your service. The Home Energy Rating report that you made listing the problem areas in our house and the quick fixes to them really helped out. We have completed some of the list so far and have already noticed a difference in the interior temperature of our house (for the better).         The program that you are a part of (Texas Home Energy Audit Program) is an essential part of home owners maintenance and should be mandatory for all home owners. It helps reduce home owners expenses while saving the planets resources. It is a Green Program that is worth the money we spent so far.       In an industry where most home owners are unsure of who to trust, it is nice to have met you.
