  2. Visual Learners’ Characteristics • Information in pictures, outlines, charts, or diagrams is easily remember • Look up often and to the left • Can often see invisible information written or drawn • Visual spatial skills, I.e. sizes, shapes, depth, and dimensions are strong

  3. Visual Learners’ Characteristics • Often pay close attention to body language • Have keen awareness of aesthetics, visual media, art, and physical environment

  4. Strategies for Visual Learners • Visualize and make movies in your mind as you read or study • Convert information into visual study tools • Add pictures to visual tools whenever possible • Use a variety of colors in study tools

  5. Strategies of Visual Learners • Copy, write, and rewrite information so you can see it in your own handwriting • Use instructors non-verbal cues • Always write down important information

  6. Auditory Learners’ Characteristics • Can accurately remember details of conversations or lectures • Have strong language skills, a well-developed vocabulary • Strong oral communication skills • May find foreign languages relatively easy • Often have musical talents: hear tones, notes, and rhythms

  7. Strategies of Auditory Learners • Talk out-loud and recite regularly • Tape information • Add rhythms or tunes to your learning • Learn to use computer technology

  8. Kinesthetic Learners’ Characteristics • Often cannot sit still • Often labeled as hyperactive children • Learn through movement • Usually do well as performers, athletes, or dancers • Well coordinated and have a strong sense of timing and body movements
