Why should we get involved in Comenius projects?
  • Currently 15,000 schools, 150,000 teachers and staff, 2 million pupils are involved in projects across Europe.
  • Comenius school partnerships benefit the whole school community and the rewards for pupils, teachers/staff, schools and parents are far-reaching.

language teaching and learning across the

Partnership. Achieved by:

  • Increased motivation of both pupils and staff;
  • Understanding practice in other European schools;
  • Finding joint solutions to shared problems;

  • Access to project funding, increasing school budget for benefit of all
partner schools

  • 9 families have expressed an interest in hosting – thank you!
  • I would like all of your children to be ‘host children’, i.e. even if they are not hosting children in their homes, they will still take part in the visits that week and look after our guests

  • If your visitor arrives before the end of school, then they are to be picked up when your child finishes school.
  • If they arrive after, they are to be picked up from the station.
  • This is the one night you will be expected to provide a meal and entertainment for the children you are hosting.

  • Bring children to school at normal time, making sure they have their PE kits!
  • Children to visit Leeds after school on the train with us – tea at McDonalds! To be picked up from school at 6pm.

  • Children need a packed lunch.
  • To be picked up at normal school time and brought back for 5pm for ‘Talent Night’, buffet and then disco. All help welcome!

  • After school, will take children to Xscape for bowling, laser quest etc. and for meal after. All welcome!
  • Would be helpful if they could be collected, but not essential.
