  3. EXAMPLES FROM A QUESTION ON POPULATION DENSITY THE CHINESE ONE CHILD FAMILY POLICY: • The policy consists of a set of regulations governing the approved size of Chinese families. These regulations included restrictions in family size, late marriage and childbearing and birth spacing. (1 SRP = 2m) • The general rule is that one child is allowed per coupled inhabiting an urban area and two are allowed per couple in a rural area if the first is a girl but there are many exemptions to this rule including ethnic minorities and parents without any siblings themselves.
