  5. 17x-8y=1 (1-17x)/-8

  6. 45x+18y=12 (12-45x)/18

  7. 2y=x+4 All fractions must be in own ( ). Start with double (( (()x+4)/2

  10. y+1 = 2x+9 Subtract 1 from both sides y1= 2x+9-1

  11. 2y – 2 = 4x + 2 y1= (4x + 2 + 2)/2

  12. -2y + 6 = 7x + 2 y1= (7x + 2 - 6)/-2

  13. 2 = 2x + 6 • Since no y in problem just put 2x +6 into y1 • Put 2 into y2 y1= 2x + 6y2 = 2
