  1. Name ______________________________ Date ________________________________ Period _____________________________ U1: Thirteen Colonies Map Directions: Label each colony using the atlases. Follow the directions on the back of this sheet regarding coloring and labeling of places and regions.

  2. Directions 1. Label the 13 colonies on your map. 2. Color these water areas blue and label them on your map: Atlantic Ocean Delaware Bay Chesapeake Bay 3. Locate and label on your map the following: Cape Hatteras Cape Cod Cape Fear 4. In Massachusetts, locate these colonial sites with a red dot. Label each. Plymouth Salem Boston 5. Locate these colonial sites in Virginia with a red dot. Label them on the map. Jamestown Williamsburg 6. With a green colored pencil, color the New England colonies. New Hampshire Massachusetts Rhode Island Connecticut 7. With a purple colored pencil, color the Middle colonies. New York Pennsylvania New Jersey Delaware 8. With an orange colored pencil, color the Southern colonies. Virginia Maryland North Carolina South Carolina Georgia Questions. Answer in complete sentences: What is your definition of the word region? What are some examples of regions that you can think of? Why do you think the colonies are grouped into the three regions?
