ISSUES FOR EXCESSIVE SPEED LOCATION • Minnesota Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices • “Authorized Speed Limit shall be within 5 MPH of the 85th Percentile Speed” • Functional Classification of the Roadway • Residential Street will receive the full range of Traffic Calming Devices, some of these are not appropriate for Arterial or Collector Streets.

LAST YEARS PROJECT Villa Road NW • Results • Reduction in 85th Percentile Speeds by approximately 3 MPH • Significant Reduction in Speeds Exceeding 40 MPH • Approximately 26% Drop in Traffic Volumes after Speed Bumps were Installed • Complaints Received from Traveling Public when Speed Bumps were Installed • Speed and Volume Complaints from Adjacent Street after Speed Bumps were Installed
