  5. Adaptations • A sunflower moves so that it’s always facing the sun. • Flowers close their pedals at night as a result of temperature and light change. • Roses have thorns on their stems to discourage predators from eating/picking them.

  6. Complex Kingdom • This kingdom is complex because there is a broad range of species. They can interbreed. They are also native to specific habitats.

  7. Interesting Facts • No species of wild plant produces a flower or blossom that is absolutely black, and so far, none has been developed artificially. • There are more than 250,000 known species of plants. • Nutmeg is extremely poisonous if injected intravenously.
