  3. Preface: The English briefing is to guide the targeted audience with a view to its gaining relevant knowledge and wisdom in your professional field.

  4. I.  Set up your briefing goal that is appropriate for the audience and occasion.A. Have a full knowledge of what you are going to present. B. Develop the briefing tailored to your audience and the occasion.

  5. Ⅱ.Understand your audience and plan to adapt to it A. Understand audience diversity and interests. B. Adjust content so that it is appropriate for your audience’s current understanding of what s/he is being presented. C. Understand your audience’s attitude toward your guidance.

  6. Ⅲ .Organize and develop ideas into a well-structured briefing. A. Create an introduction that gets attention, sets the tone, creates goodwill, and builds up your credibility and sincerity. B. Following the body of your briefing, create a conclusion that both summarizes the material and leaves the briefing with a clincher.

  7. IV. Choose visual aids, if needed, that are appropriate for the audience. A. Consider drawings, maps, charts, tables, graphs, and films. B. Plan when to use visual aids and how to show them.

  8. V. Practice the wording and delivery of the briefing A. Practice until the wording is clear, vivid, emphatic, and appropriate. B.  Practice until the delivery is enthusiastic, vocally expressive, fluent, spontaneous, and direct. C.  Practice your bodily action—mainly eye contact, posture, gesture, and poise.

  10. VII. Conclusion It is through the excellent command of the English briefing that makes you gain an intelligent and cogent presentation. Therefore, everyday is a P-day for training this command. P means preparation in terms of constant simulation and exposure.
