Resolutions of the First Continental Congress

The First Continental Congress drafted a statement of grievances, called for the repeal of all acts since 1763, boycotted British goods, refused to sell goods to Britain, and created their own militia known as Minutemen who were ready to fight at a minute's notice.

  3. Boycotted ALL British goods! • Also would not sell goods to Britain.

  4. Created their own militia(citizen soldiers) • Minutemen – these men would be ready to fight in “a minute’s time”
