  2. Application/Petition Form • Ensure application is signed by the owner of record • Ensure application is notarized • Have correct address and parcel number • Have correct Commercial Square Footage

  3. Deed & Legal • Ensure Deed and Ownership match • Ensure Legal Description is attached

  4. Justification Letter • Include what is being requested • Include hours of operations • How the project meets/supports City Policies and Regulations

  5. Pre-Application Workshops • Applicants will receive a signed checklist at each workshop, which shallbe submitted with the SUP application

  6. Projects of Regional Significance • Any Special Use Permit within 500 feet of Clark County or North Las Vegas • Fill out form found at: http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/files/DINA-PRS.docx

  7. Distance Survey • Ensure Survey is signed and sealed by a State of Nevada registered surveyor • Size 11”x17” Only

  8. Fees • $1,280 total • Payable by Cash, Money Order or Cashiers Checks to the City of Las Vegas • All fees are non-refundable

  9. Required Plans • Site Plan • Building Elevations • Sign Elevations • Floor Plan

  10. Site Plan • 11”x17” Only • To scale • Parking Analysis Table • Building Size • Ingress/Egress • Handicap Spaces per Title 19 • 6 folded and 1 rolled and colored

  11. Building Elevations • 11”x17” Only • To Scale with dimensions indicating height of the building • All four elevations (North, South, East and West) • Building Materials and Colors Called out • 1 folded and 1 rolled and colored

Sign Elevations • 11”x17” Only • To Scale with dimensions indicating height and width of signage • Must show materials and lighting of signage • Location of Signs on building elevations • Limited one wall sign per street frontage not to exceed 30 sqft. in area and not to exceed 2 ft. in height • 1 folded and 1 rolled and colored

  13. Floor Plan • 11”x17” Only • Use of all rooms labeled on plan • All entrances and exits • Room dimensions to scale • 1 folded and 1 rolled and colored

  14. Laser Prints • Reduced black and white 8.5”x11” copy of all plans (site plan, building elevations, sign elevations and floor plan).

  15. Statement of • Financial Interest Form • One for eachproperty owner • One for the primary applicant

Other Required Reviews Medical Marijuana Dispensaries (only) are required to have signage and building elevations reviewed by the Downtown Design Review Committee (DDRC) priorto a hearing for the Special Use Permit. This review will be conducted in August. Submitted materials from the SUP will be used for the review. No additional fees/materials are required.

  17. Other Entitlements if needed • General Plan Amendments and Rezonings will not be accepted as part of the process

  18. Other Entitlements if needed • Variances, Waivers and Site Plan Reviews can be Submitted as part of the project • Additional Pre-Application Meeting Required • Additional fees, documents and plans will be required per Title 19

Next Steps for • Land Use Applications • Application packets for Medical Marijuana Establishments submission (July 8th to July 17th) • Applications will begin the submission process on the first floor of the DSC by taking a Q-maticticket. • Tickets must be pulled no later than 3 pm on July 17th.

  20. Next Steps for • Land Use Applications • Planning will process the Special Use Permit portion of the packet on the first floor • Applicants will then be directed to Business Licensing for that portion of the packet and payment of all fees

  21. Next Steps for • Land Use Applications • Land Use applications reviewed by staff for completeness, zoning and distance separation verification • Letter of compliance and zoning confirmation will then be sent to all applicants

  22. Next Steps for • Land Use Applications • Sign and Building Elevations heard by Downtown Design Review Committee (DDRC) in August • Special Use Permit and any related Variance or Site Plan Review to be heard by Planning Commission in September
