  1. Preparations For A Puja It has long been said that puja is the doorway to a deity’s good grace. In Hinduism, puja is a way to connect to God, a symbolic show of devotion and love by surrendering oneself to their presence as a mark of total worship. During a puja, one must provide offerings with reverence in order to receive the blessings and good fortune. A Puja can be performed by anyone. One only needs to have faith. Different Pujas need different locations. Some pujas can be performed at home while others need to performed outside. Some pujas are specific to temples while others can only be done after going through rituals. You do not need an expert to do Puja however having a priest perform a Puja for you is advised as they’ve studied scriptures and have gained enough knowledge to guide you through rituals. India is a country of a faiths and beliefs. People from all over the country trek/walk/hike to holy places in the hope of receiving blessings or absolution. The river Ganga is considered the most sacred in India so it is not uncommon to see hundreds of pilgrims taking a dip into the river and performing Ganga Aarti. If you’re a new to this, it is advisable to take a priest along to help you with the ritual. Priests also play a big role in performing pujas at home. They can guide you on the best dates to perform the rituals and can help you in understanding the significance of said rituals. For instance, when you’re performing satyanarayan puja at home, the priests would recite from the satyanarayan katha and explain to you the chapters, they could help you with the items or samagri needed to perform the puja. Priests bring in an important dimension to how you approach Puja. Since they’re immensely knowledgeable, therefore they can explain to you why the rituals are important to what you’re going through and what you can expect at the end of the pooja. Gone are the days when you had to inform others to attend a pooja you were organising at home. Today, pooja has gone digital. Everything can be done online, except the act of performing the pooja. That being said, if you go to an online pooja service to perform a rudrabhishek puja, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what’s on offer. Everything that you had to do manually before starting your pooja is now seamlessly taken care of. Right from choosing the right pandit for the ceremony to all the items need to be used as offerings. They also give you the list of auspicious dates and times most optimum for the puja. And the added benefits they provide are tremendous. Now you can let your loved ones and close friends be a part of the puja even if they’re hundreds of miles away with the help of online streaming and video recording. Preparing for a pooja has been made simple thanks to the power of internet that is bringing the people together. Faith is a powerful healer and thus with its presence online, it can reach a far wider audience bringing home and light to the ones who need it the most.
