  2. Physician Assistant • Someone qualified to assist a physician and carry out routine clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician.

  3. High School Requirements • You need to graduate high school with a high grade point average. • You need a high school degree.

  4. College Requirements • 1. Get a minimum of 60 semester credits from a college or university. • 2. A minimum G.P.A of 2.95 (sometimes different for other medical centers) • 3. Masters Degree(50%) Bachelor's degree (29%), Doctoral or professional degree (21%)

  5. Certification Requirements • To become a Physician Assistant you have to take the PA Educational Program which usually lasts 24 months. • You have to take the Physician Assistant National Citifying Exam • You also need to take the Physician Assistant National Recertifying Exam to become one.

  6. Physician Assistant Responsibilities • Physician assistants job is preventing and treating human illness and injury by providing a broad range of health care services under the direction of a physician or surgeon. Physician assistants conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, prescribe medications, counsel on preventive health care and may assist in surgery.

Interesting Facts • Physician Assistant gets paid an average of $96,000 in 2013 • The difference between physician assistants and physicians are that physician assistants are enrolled in P.A. program for 2 to 3 years while physician enroll medical school for 8 to 11 years. • There is an about 180 physician assistant programs in America.

  9. Thoughts • I was hoping to get a job that requires to be in the medical field. I would personally rather be a physician that an assistant. I would probably • consider this as my job when I grow up.
